The Minister of defence said that the military exercises Zapad-2017 can be used to start the aggression not only against Ukraine.
Ukraine and the world has a common vision of the potential exercises of the armed forces. This was reported in Facebook the Minister of defence Stepan Poltorak.
“The upcoming exercises Zapad – 2017 are extremely powerful. They can be used to start the aggression not only against Ukraine but also against any European country which shares a common border with Russia. We will adequately respond to the exercises,” – said Poltorak.
West-2017 – joint strategic exercises of the armies of Russia and Belarus, will be held from 14 to 20 September. Officially announced the participation of up to 13 thousand military, anecdotal evidence suggests a much larger group of troops up to 100 thousand people. The exercises will be held in two stages – in Russia and at seven landfills in Belarus.
