The current President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte organized a “death squad” for the extrajudicial extermination of criminals.
In the Philippines, the ex-COP confessed to the murder of about 200 people during the service in the “team of destruction” created by President Rodrigo Duterte.
A former law enforcement Arturo Lascalas at the hearings in the Senate said that Duterte, occupying the post of mayor of Davao city, paid members of the “team destruction” to those killed criminals.
Laskey said that to confess to crimes prompted his remorse. He said that he personally killed 300 people, about 200 of them in the “team of destruction”.
In October last year it became known that the authorities of the Philippines created about a dozen secret police units that are engaged in extrajudicial killings of drug addicts.
