Roald Hoffmann gave advice to Ukrainians.
The winner of the Nobel prize in chemistry 1981 Roald Hoffmann, who was born in Zolochiv, Kharkiv region, recorded a touching video message to his countrymen.

So, in a short video the scientist spoke about the history of his family and how he and his mother managed to escape during the Holocaust.
“Now Ukraine is an independent, democratic, economically developed country where older people can have a decent life, and young people – strive for the best. Of course, it’s not easy. It was necessary to destroy the remnants of Soviet rule, corruption, and the recent Russian aggression. But that’s exactly what you are doing now and it gives me hope,” he said.
Hoffman added that the path to security in a free and democratic Ukraine will be long, but it is achievable.
In addition, the scientist said that he was in Ukraine two years ago and thanked the Ukrainians for congratulations on his jubilee.
As you know, Hoffmann was awarded the Nobel prize in 1981 “For his development of the theory of chemical reactions”.
