The ship was launched on the city Day.
Ukrainian company “NIBULON” in their shipyard in Nikolaev completed the construction of a series of 8 self-propelled ships of the project in the 2000 and launched the unique engineering heavy duty dredging vessel “Nikolayevets”..
The descent of the new vessel was held immediately after the Day of the city and was dedicated to his 228 anniversary. This is historic not only for the region but for the whole country the event took place without too much pathos, in working order in the circle of NIBULON’s shipbuilders.
In connection with the heavy workload at the plant that day was work. At a small ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Polish delegation, who stayed these days in Nikolaev, and the mayor Alexander Senkevich, learnt about the planned descent the day before.
The General Director “nibulona” Alexey Vadatursky guests at a shipyard is always happy, and they visited here a lot – ranging from presidents and Prime Ministers of Ukraine, ending the different-level representatives of the European Union and international financial institutions.
Poland has its own history of shipbuilding and the Nikolaev shipbuilders nostalgia for the glorious past of the poles is well understood. So how in Nikolaev created a brand new domestic shipbuilding industry that meets the needs of the Ukrainian economy, they are interested in actively and sincerely.
Cutting metal for this vessel began in may and launched it in September.
General Director of “NIBULON” admits that it is a very good result, even though the construction of the vessel was marred to some behind schedule due to delays of shipment of components from European suppliers. It turned out that the EU was not ready to produce exclusive equipment for the complex engineering of the ship at the appointed time.
