The PlayStation 4 will be an interactive journey into virtual reality The Chernobyl VR Project, created by the efforts of the team The Farm 51, known for the Thriller Get Even. This app will send owners a helmet PS VR in the abandoned city of Pripyat in the exclusion Zone of the Chernobyl NPP.
The developers say that The Chernobyl Project combines the interactive VR environment, only available on gaming platforms, with the educational elements to convey to the players the scale of the recent man-made disaster, including through the stories of the people who lived there before and after the tragedy.
Players will be offered a range of spherical rollers, panoramas, recreated using 3D scanning of buildings and sites, spherical panoramas, stereoscopic videos and so on. Farm 51 promises to transfer part of the proceeds from the sale of educational funds of the charities involved in helping victims of the Chernobyl accident.
The disaster occurred on 26 April 1986 the accident at the fourth unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The reactor was completely destroyed by a powerful explosion, and a large number of radioactive substances were released into the environment. The accident is considered one of the largest in the history of nuclear energy and a significant area remains uninhabited due to high radiation levels.
The output time of The Chernobyl VR Project for PS4, the developers have not yet called. The environment is already available on the PC (specifically, Steam, G2A and at the Oculus Store). Based on 26 reviews Steam rating is “mixed”.
