In July of this year, all four cellular operators of Russia was obliged to cancel roaming inside the country by order of the FAS, however, the entire Quartet, the requirements are not met, resulting in Antimonopoly service wanted to punish the operators. However, the strap never got, and even more, all companies were made indulgence – the abolition of roaming charges is now transferred to the few months ahead.
According to new information, Beeline, MTS, Tele2 and MegaFon will abolish national roaming only in mid-December this year – apparently, they agreed with the FAS, citing the difficulty of implementing the ideas at the hardware level. Service went to meet the companies, so that they are now roaming within a country should cease to exist for all operators no later than 15 December 2017. While it is unknown what sanctions will be applied to those who do not meet the deadline, but it is now clear that operators have won the last four months, not in order to reconfigure software and hardware.
In other words, by the end of this year should wait for the SMS alerts about the next increase of tariffs, with a note “But now we have a national roaming”. All analysts agree about the fast growth of prices on cellular communication in the country, and it is quite logical: operators will lose margin for roaming, and will answer for it with their money, even those who never leaves his hometown.
