iPhone once again became the most popular camera phone used in the well-known photo service Flickr.
Given the high prevalence of Apple smartphones among photographers, it is not surprising, but iPhone surpassed not only his “colleagues on shop”, but also a professional camera.
According to open sources Flickr, 54% of all photos are made on the iPhone whereas on Canon cameras and Nikon 23% and 18%, respectively. The study was conducted among 75 million users of the service. It turns out, the share of all other manufacturers of cameras and smartphones account for only 5 %.
Last year, similar to statistics, Apple has gained 47 % of the market, and in 2014 was in second place after Canon. In just three years the iPhone has replaced from Flickr professional camera, although with certain tasks, while smartphones can’t handle.
Experts believe that the low percentage of users of Android smartphones due to the fact that they rarely upload their photos to Flickr. The majority uses either Instagram or Google Photos.
