Windows 10, as of today, is the most popular of all modern operating systems.
According to official data from Microsoft, now Windows 10 operating system is installed on more than 600 million electronic devices, including computers, ultrabooks, Xbox One, tablets and other devices.
However, if we talk about exclusively about the full version of the OS, this number is greatly reduced, but even despite this it Windows 10, as of today, is the most popular of all modern operating systems. Microsoft did everything to ensure that users of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 have moved to a new “Windu”, which changed nothing and everything.
To argue on the topic of what computer operating system is better, macOS, Windows 10 or Linux, can be infinitely long, but one main reason that makes Microsoft’s OS the worst in its class, and no such problems even devices based on Android and Chrome OS. Immediately it is worth noting that branded “the tenth wind” is distributed exclusively fee, that is, for its use need to pay, while all its competitors are absolutely free. Once the user pays, and a lot (8 000), and it should get the best and most advanced on the market, but in practice this is not happening.
Now all modern people try to use large monitors with a resolution of Quad HD (2560 by 1440 pixels) or various types of 4K. This allows to achieve high density of pixels per inch, and if it is greater than 220, then the human eye can’t see individual pixels, so the picture will seem like it is printed on high-quality laser printer and is not displayed with millions of LEDs. The use of such screens reduces the load on the head, increases the performance (of a person) contribute more to visual perception of information and just creates a good impression, since monitors with this resolution are not very cheap, but they look fantastically cool.
By itself, the monitor, for example, with a resolution of 4K UHD, the user connects it to the computer, and then includes. In the end, he sees the full “tin” in terms of user interface. Windows 10 is still okay neoptimizirovannost to work with screens with high resolution. The first thing an inexperienced user would do – go to Google, because the icons on the desktop are so small that they are difficult to understand even at a short distance.
A little “googling” it turns out that for proper scale settings Windows 10 is necessary in the operating system settings to increase the text size to 200% (or less). Only after that basic programs and services will begin to look more or less normal, but the main problem will remain – most third-party software for “Windows” would look disgusting. On the background of the whole screen, which not visible to individual pixels, such a program would be more similar to the old “dinosaurs”, which came from the last century. The interface, fonts and everything else is awfully fuzzy and blurry, or even too “small” compared to other elements of the system.
Moreover, if you change the size of text and items by up to 200%, some programs and games may begin to appear completely incorrect or they will be completely out. Yes, Microsoft is to blame only in part, however, from year to year, it does absolutely nothing, which somehow solved this problem, which can be considered the most important in Windows 10, though, today screens with high pixel density are used in virtually all electronic devices. Operating systems macOS and Linux fully compatible with the scaling of the interface and is fully working out of the box without any additional configuration by the user.
