They are accused of trying to make money on the extraction of amber, the total amount of bribes more than 300 thousand dollars.
Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to remove the immunity of people’s deputies Boris Rosenblatt (PPB) and Maxim Polyakov (people’s front).
This was stated at a briefing on Tuesday, the Director of NABU Sytnyk.
“The submission for the lifting of immunity of people’s deputies of Rosenblat and Polyakov sent to the attorney General. I hope that the attorney General will promptly react to these letters and send the submission to the Parliament, because we don’t have much time this week and another plenary week”, – he said.
Head of SAP Nazar Golodnitsky, in turn, has told that the accused MPs.
“Detectives NABOO under the procedural guidance of prosecutors SAP for a long time lead pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings related to illegal extraction of amber. During the investigation it was established that the two MPs with the aim of obtaining improper benefits from the representative of non-resident companies which are interested in extraction of amber in Ukraine, used the right of legislative initiative with the aim to push through the Parliament several draft laws, which should improve the business environment for the customer,” said Holodnitsky.
According to him, the mediator for the release of deputies became head of the Secretariat of the inter-faction Deputy Union “Deputy control” Vadim Rudenko.
“The poles and Rosenblat has made changes to the bills. It was edit on the reduction of the rent charged for mining of amber from 25% to 5%, exemption from taxation until 2020, enterprises which import equipment for the production of amber have also been some changes on wages. For these changes was received illegal benefit in the amount of 15 thousand dollars”, – said the Prosecutor.
Rudenko drew a diagram of another person – the assistant to the Deputy from the Radical party, lawyer of NGO “System solutions”. “He invited the representative of the foreign company services and got 11 thousand dollars, necessary for the promotion and adoption of legislative changes”, – said Holodnitsky.
The second episode of this case applies only to Rosenblatt. The Prosecutor alleges that the MP decided to start amber production and required the company to organize a joint business. “Amber, as planned, was to be disposed of at a lower price, and part of the profits was to be displayed on the accounts of the company, which is located in the United States of America. The Board of Rosenblat its owner was his sister. In the implementation of this scheme and there was yesterday’s arrest,” – said Holodnitsky.
The total amount of bribes in this episode – 285 thousand dollars.
As of June 20, were arrested six people: three assistants to MPs, one guard and two representatives of an anti-corruption organizations. They are charged with suspicion under part 4 St. 368 (bribery) and part 3 of article 369-2 (abuse of influence).
The operation lasted almost a year.
