Moscow authorities agreed to a request to conduct the August 25 rally on Prospekt Sakharova, Interfax reports. According to the first Deputy of the Department of regional security and combating corruption of the capital Vasily Oleinik, the number of participants in the agreed shares to 100 thousand people.
Oleinik specify that activists had applied to hold the March from Pushkin square to Sakharov Avenue in a subsequent rally on Prospekt, but in the coordination of the processions, the authorities denied.
Earlier it was reported that an application in the mayoralty of Moscow on carrying out on August 25 a rally was filed by the libertarian party.
In addition, the opposition has applied to hold two protests in Moscow on August 24. This was announced by Dmitry Gudkov. “Elvira floor, Alexander Soloviev and Tatiana Usmanova has filed two applications at the March and rally on August 24. The first option is Victory square. The second option — the Sakharov Avenue. There the application for the March or rally. The protest continues”, — is told in the message.
Also planned for the event on 17 August, however, the mayor’s office didn’t agree.
Protests take place in Moscow from-for not admission of a number of independent candidates on elections of deputies of the city Duma, which will be held on 8 September.
