Following talks with Poroshenko is scheduled to sign several agreements.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on 20 and 21 July will pay an official visit to Ukraine. During the visit he will hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko in the format of one-on-one and in expanded format.
The heads of state will discuss the development of political, trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus.
“The focus will be on the current state and prospects of cooperation in the economy, including in such areas as trade, investment, industrial cooperation, a petrochemical complex, energy, agriculture, transportation and logistics industry, the development of interregional dialogue. It is also planned to harmonize the approaches for the further development of cross-border cooperation”, – the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
Also one of the themes of the meeting will be the resolution of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. “Lukashenko and Poroshenko will discuss the situation in the region, will exchange views on international issues,” – said the press service of Lukashenka.
It is expected that the outcome of the negotiations will be signed a number of documents on cooperation in economy, science and technology, as well as in the fields of culture and international relations.
