Russia and Belarus are not ready for a common Constitution and common currency.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko believes that Russia and Belarus are not ready to create a real Union.
He stated this in an interview with the interstate TV and radio company “Mir”.
The President noted that, when against Russia imposed sanctions, this has affected the economic development of its neighbouring States, particularly Belarus and Kazakhstan.
“Who would have thought that we out of the blue we stumble? It’s not normal. Must work all our state bodies and structures, and avoid these problems at the highest level, when it can be solved at the departmental level, not even on the government,” – said Lukashenko.
According to him, the existence of problems should push Belarus and Russia to unite in a Federal state. Lukashenko decided to remind you that if at the time the country did not deviate from the plan to build a Union state, now would not have any issues from not only journalists, but also by Belarusians and Russians
“Today we are not ready. Not as many Belarusians, as the Russians and the Russian leadership. But then we have to solve other issues. As for the people – we have done a lot. Now it is necessary for the economy to see”, – said the President of Belarus.
