Yanukovych’s lawyers claim that the EU does not “frozen”.
Law firm Joseph Hage Aaronson LLP said that the European Commission and the EU member States have not found the frozen assets of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

“According to article 8 of Council regulation (EU) No. 208/2014, which imposed sanctions of the European Union (former – ed) President Yanukovych, member States of the EU and others had to immediately report to the Commission any and all information they had about the funds and economic resources owned or controlled by President Yanukovych, which were frozen in accordance with the decision”, – stated in the message.
“Despite the fact that it has been 3.5 years since the introduction of sanctions and in spite of the above-mentioned requirement to submit information, the European Commission has today officially confirmed that it has not received in accordance with this article no information about the funds or economic resources owned or controlled by President Yanukovych, which were frozen as a result of EU sanctions,” – noted in the company.
We will remind, the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin said that gold, stolen and exported from Ukraine ex-President Viktor Yanukovych arrested abroad. According to him, the total damage caused by the Yanukovich regime, is about $40 billion.
While in Bern demanded proof of illicit origin to the transfer of Ukraine’s gold in the case of Yanukovych.
