The Deputy mayor of Kharkiv on issues of urban development are suspected of illegal disposal of land.
Law enforcement authorities reported about suspicion to the Deputy mayor of Kharkiv and four members of cooperatives. This reports the press service of the Prosecutor General.
The Deputy mayor of Kharkiv on issues of urban planning, architecture and land relations of the suspected fraud and the abuse of power or official position. Four of the members of the service cooperatives was also suspected in fraud.
The Prosecutor’s office said that officials suspected of power abuse during the negotiation and decision making about results service cooperatives land for the construction of real estate during 2008-2009.
“As a result of illegal actions and complicity in the Commission of fraud specified officials, members of service cooperatives by deception received the land plots located on the territory of Kharkiv with a total area of over 25 hectares, with a value of over 128 million UAH”, – stated in the message.
Now the issue of the application in respect of the Deputy mayor of a measure of restraint in form of detention.
One of the heads of service cooperatives, the court chose a measure of restraint in form of detention with possibility of bail in the amount of 2.4 million UAH, one person is wanted in relation to another solves a question on election of a preventive measure in the form of detention.
