Left “to settle a few points with the Ukrainian authorities,” says the head of the Fund.
Talks of the International monetary Fund and Ukraine on the allocation of the next tranche is going well.
In an interview with Reuters, said the managing Director of the IMF Christine Lagarde.
“I’m sure negotiations are going in the right direction, and a number of key issues have been resolved,” – said Lagarde.
“Our team was left to settle several points with the Ukrainian authorities”, – she said, but declined to go into details.
Earlier, the head of the NBU Valery Gontareva predicted the receipt of the next tranche from the International monetary Fund in late February or early March.
In September 2016, the IMF approved the granting Ukraine of the 3rd transam $ 1 billion dollars.
As reported, to continue cooperation with the International monetary Fund, Ukraine needs to carry out pension reform to reduce the number of civil servants and state employees, to cancel the “simplified taxation” and to open the land market.
