The President of the United States Donald trump is beginning to think about preservation of power instead of national interests, involving a wide and pragmatic international cooperation, told RIA Novosti the head of the international Committee of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev.
On Friday, a senior White house official said that the US administration has no plans in the current environment to weaken sanctions against Russia and is considering tightening them.
“Apparently, a rabid attack on trump at the “Russian dossier” is starting to give results”, — said the Senator.
According to Kosachev, choosing between the prospect of impeachment “on the totality of the circumstances” and the rejection of the policy of cooperation with Russia on important issues, “trump begins to give preference to their personal “to remain in power,” not to us national interests, implying a broad and pragmatic international cooperation over the block boundaries, as he talked so much during the election campaign.”
The head of the Federation Council Committee noted that from trump, of course, “we can expect new and equally sudden reversals in positions to continue”.
