Yanukovych had to leave the country, according to the mayor of Kharkov.
The former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has betrayed the people of Ukraine, leaving the country in 2014.
This opinion was expressed by the mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes.
“He’s not betrayed me. I – individual citizen of Ukraine. He betrayed the people of Ukraine. …The fact that I have been thinking more about himself, about his personal safety, the safety of his family. But the security people, the Ukrainians, about the consequences, he thought. He wasn’t supposed to leave the country. He was available to the negotiation process,” he said.
His words “the Ukrainian truth” that he gave to Yanukovich, at a meeting schelbany, Kernes explained, that would have made it “for his behavior, for all the attitude to people, to life.”
