The cost of food in Kiev supermarkets has grown in comparison with September 2016.
In September 2016 Biznestsentr compared the prices of identical products in different supermarkets of Kiev. Prices were taken in one store one of the networks in the period from 7 to 12 September 2016.
From 27 to 31 March 2017 correspondent Biznestsentr repeated the experiment and again went through the same stores, recording the prices of various food products.
To compare the prices of the supermarket chain were divided into two groups.
In the first group of “relatively not expensive shops” were identified as: “Auchan”, “Metro”, “Fozzy” and “ATB”. The second group “more expensive stores” included: “Great Kyshenya”, “Silpo”, “Megamarket”, Novus and “Cocktail”.
For comparison was taken as the products of consumption: water, meat, cereals, dairy products, vegetables, fruits, salt and sugar. Manufacturers of a product were taken given their prevalence and overlapping in different stores.
In some of the shops had goods that were present in September. For example, the store network Novus was not a lemon. The store employee explained that the lemons of the day just did not deliver.
Some manufacturers have changed the packaging of their products. For example, pasta from durum wheat of the trade mark “Chumak” in September, sold in packs of 450 g. In March in the Kiev shops were packing this product is only 400 g.
The yogurt brand “Slavyanochka”, 2,5%, in September it was sold in packs of 950 In March of the same yogurt is sold in packages of 900 g.
Some stores on certain products was promotional discounts. In such cases boacciana price in the table in parentheses.
The first group of shops “Auchan”, “Metro”, Fozzi, ATB
In the “Auchan” the most expensive cheese “Russian” brand “Zvenigora” – by 39.3 UAH UAH 111,44 up to 150,74 UAH. Along with this coffee even cheaper. In September, the packaging 170 g Jacobs Monarch cost 126,62 UAH, and in March – 120,93 by 5.69 UAH or UAH cheaper. Packaging Nescafe Gold 120 g fell by 14.56 97,28 UAH UAH UAH 82,72.
In addition to coffee in the “Auchan” cheaper water “Mirgorodskaya”, still, bottle of 1.5 liters – 7.5– 6,9 UAH to UAH. Along with this 1.5 liter Morshynska non-carbonated rose NA1,65 UAH.
Pork loin fell by 3 110,95 UAH UAH per 1 kg to 107,95 UAH per 1 kg. More than 10 UAH in the “Auchan” rose cottage cheese, cheese and garlic (the rise in prices of garlic is due to seasonal factor. Spring in Ukrainian shops sell mainly imported garlic from China or Egypt).
In the “Metro”, unless you consider the price of cabbage, the most expensive chicken, pork and cheese. In September, kilogram of chicken in the “Metro” cost 64,91 UAH, in March it rose by 11.99 76,9 UAH to UAH. Pork loin in “Metro” went up by 6 hryvnia 98,9 UAH per kg to UAH 104,9. Pork coxofemoral part went up by UAH 12 UAH from 76.9 to 88.9 UAH per kilogram.
Along with this, the “Metro” of 10 hryvnia fell beef – beef the cue was worth 139,9 UAH and fell to 129.9 to UAH. Also in the “Metro” fell pounds chicken drumsticks – with 42,89 40,9 UAH to UAH.
By as much as 15 UAH in the “Metro” cheaper lemons from 59.9 44.9 per UAH to UAH. At the same time on 7 UAH, and 5 UAH has risen bananas and apples. Also 10 hryvnia fell coffee Nescafe Gold in pack 120 g – 99,9 89,9 UAH to UAH.
The store network Fozzi lemons fell by 19.41 UAH UAH at 57.39 per kilogram in September to 37.98 UAH in March.
Most in Fozzi went up two pounds of beef the cue ball 64.9 UAH 105 UAH to UAH 169,9. Also 43,12 42,86 UAH and UAH grew cheese brands “Zvenigora” and “Shostka”.
Curd “Buttermilk”, 15%, packing in 300 g went up by 15.06 UAH UAH 36,48 in September to UAH 51,54 in March. Low-fat cottage cheese brand “Slavyanochka” pack 350 g rose by 6.55 from 24.09 UAH UAH in September of 30.64 to UAH in March.
Coffee Nescafe Gold in pack 120 g prices dropped by 19.65 UAH. Along with this coffee Jacobs Monarch 170 g rose by 12.81 UAH. Black tea Greenfield Classic Breakfast Fozzi has risen by 4.76 UAH.
In “ATB”, the most expensive pork – 15.8 UAH. In September, a kilo of pork coxofemoral part in “ATB” cost 76,95 UAH per kilo, and in March rose to 92,75 UAH. Chicken fillet in “ATB” has risen by 7.4 70,55 UAH UAH per kilo to 77,95 UAH per kilogram. Chicken drumstick went up by 2.84 UAH UAH from 38.95 per kg to 41.79 UAH per kilogram.
By 17.96 UAH in “the seventh continent” has fallen lemons, 2.8 grn – carrots, 2.24 UAH – bow, by 2.05 UAH fell macaroni.
Along with this, the “ATB” 2.7 UAH rose eggs by 4.15 yogurt UAH, 7 UAH curd and cheese by 4.55 UAH. Also in the “ATB” went up cereals and sugar.
The second group of shops “Velyka Kyshenya”, “Silpo”, “Megamarket”, “Novus”, “Cocktail”
In the shop “Velyka Kyshenya”, the most expensive coffee Jacobs Monarch in the package 170 g – 106,89 152,16 UAH to UAH or UAH 45,27. At the same time coffee Nescafe Gold in pack 120 g will retain the same price – 106,06 UAH.
By 34.29 UAH and UAH of 32.73 in the “great Kyshenya” rose cheese “Russian” 50%, brands “Zvenigora” and “Shostka”. Milk rose by 3.41 per cheese Slavyanochka, 9%, wrapped on 180 g climbed 3.2 from 15.28 UAH UAH in September to 18.48 UAH in March.
29 cents in the “great Kyshenya” were imitated buckwheat, 1.47 UAH and by 4.71 UAH rose sunflower refined oil brands “Chumak” and “shedry gift.” Pasta rose in price by 5 cents and by 3.95 UAH.
Pork loin in “great Kyshenya” fell by UAH 4 with 96,99 UAH per kilo in September to UAH 92,99 in March. Together with it two pounds of beef the cue ball went up by 30 UAH, chicken price increased by 3 RS and chicken drumstick went up by UAH 6. By 5.74 UAH in “Velyka Kishenya” rose eggs.
In “Silpo”, the most expensive pork loin – 21.3 UAH per kilogram with 85,49 106,85 UAH to UAH.
Fell in “Silpo” bow – 2 UAH, lemons – 21.1 UAH, rice – by 3.5 HR, tea at 5 cents and water “Mirgorod” – for 65 cents. Along with this Morshynska non-carbonated rose by 50 cents.
Also in “Silpo” has risen in price eggs – by 3.3 UAH UAH from 18.94 per dozen in September to 22.24 UAH per dozen in March. Yogurt in “Silpo” went up by UAH 1.75, cottage cheese – by 8.34 UAH and UAH 9,37. Cheese “Russian” brand “Shostka” went up by 28 139,9 UAH UAH per kilo in September to 167,9 UAH in March.
The sugar in the “Silpo” has risen in price for 2,35 UAH sunflower oil – 4,75 UAH and 1.5 UAH.
In the “Megastore”, the most expensive beef – 50,72 UAH. In September, kilogram of beef cost 116,92 UAH, in March – UAH 167,64. By 23.28 UAH in the “Megastore” rose beef steak with 106,63 UAH per kilo in September to 129,91 UAH per kilogram in March.
Sugar in the “Megastore” rose by 2.47 per milk by 6.55 UAH, cheese – by 33.45 UAH. Curd “Buttermilk” 15%, in bag of 300 g in September, was worth in the “Megastore” the 37.15 UAH, and in March rose by 12.11 to 49.26 UAH to UAH. Low-fat cottage cheese “Buttermilk” pack 305 g rose by 8.32 24,46 UAH UAH UAH to AZN 32.78.
Fell in the “Megastore” buckwheat – by 6.66 with 46,62 UAH per kg to UAH footprint of 39.96. Also cheaper pasta – 1.62 UAH and chicken drumsticks – 2.1 UAH. A kilogram of chicken went up by 99 cents with 68,92 UAH per kilo in September to 69.91 UAH in March.
In Novus but garlic, the most expensive beef. Two pounds of beef steak in September, was worth 114,99 UAH in March rose by 45 UAH to UAH 159,99. Beef thigh went up by 25 UAH 109,99 UAH per kilo in September to 134.99 UAH per kilogram in March.
Chicken Novus fell by UAH 9 with 73,99 UAH per kg to UAH 64,99. Price of a kilo of chicken drumsticks remained the same – UAH of 41.99. 2.8 UAH cheaper salt.
As in other stores in Novus much more expensive cheese. “Russian” brand “Zvenigora” 121,83 UAH per kilo in September rose to 162,67 UAH in March or 40,84 UAH. The same cheese brand “Shostka” rose 34,71 UAH. Cottage cheese price in Novus rose by 11.98 and UAH 4,69.
5 hryvnia in Novus cheaper coffee Nescafe Gold in packing of 120 g, up to 109 UAH UAH 114. At the same time coffee Jacobs Monarch in the package 170 g rose by 9.01 149,99 UAH UAH in September, UAH to 159 in March.
The “Cocktail”, the most expensive beef and cheese. In September, the “Cocktail” of two pounds of beef. cost 98,75 UAH, and in March rose to 44,2 142,95 UAH to UAH. Cheese “Russian” brand “Shostka” in September cost reach 115.3 UAH per kilo, and in March went up by 50.5 per 165,8 UAH to UAH. Along with this same brand of cheese “President” fell to 6,5 UAH 136,06 UAH per kg to UAH 129,55.
Cheese in “Cocktail” went up by 10.02 8,85 UAH and UAH. Bottle of kefir “Buttermilk”, or 2.5%, to 900 g rose by 6.5 UAH 20,8 27,3 UAH to UAH. Coffee Jacobs Monarch in the package 170 g lost 3.2 UAH.
Also the “Cocktail” cheaper chicken fillet – UAH 1.65, lemons – by 19.75 UAH, onion – 2.45 UAH.
Along with this kilogram chicken drumsticks in “Cocktail” rose by 6.85 UAH 35 UAH per kilo in September to UAH in March of 41.85.
