A living icon of the genre, Director, screenwriter, producer, composer, and not only is John carpenter already working on a new project for… cable TV.
Company Universal Cable Productions announced that they have signed a deal with the master, under the terms of which the carpenter on a few with his longtime partner , sandy king (together they worked on the film “Aliens among us”) will act as Executive producers of a number of projects in the portfolio of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. Assumes that these projects will be created in collaboration with various third-party cable networks and streaming services.
In development is a television series based on the graphic novel “Tales for a Halloween Night” (“History in the night of Halloween”), the author of which is himself a carpenter (yeah, the talents of John have no boundaries at all, where he just did not show!). Judging by the description, “Tales for a Halloween Night” it’s kind of a modern “Tales from the crypt”, that is, the anthology in which carpenter has collected stories from authors from the world of cinema, literature and comics. Cemeteries, Ghost ships, ghosts, and all kinds of evil – all this in the comic was more than enough.
At the moment the search for a suitable writer for this project. “Tales for a Halloween Night” is created by the order of cable channel SyFy.
In addition, carpenter and Universal Cable Productions are working on a project “Nightside”, which should go to the popular series of books by author Simon R. green.
