Just for the festival came about two hundred retro-cars.
Antique cars from 15 countries came to Lviv, where 2-4 June hosted the international festival of retro cars “Leopolis Grand Prix”.
The main event of the festival – the racing. They staged the historic route where held competitions in pre-war times. The track is called “Lviv triangle”.
“In 1929 and 1930 there began a “Formula-1″. Few people know, but here at the antique furniture (the street) flew the machine at a speed of 180 kilometers, in 1932 was established the course record of 2 minutes 2 seconds”, – said the President of the club “ZAZ-Kozak” Vladimir Kulinich.
Just for the festival came about two hundred retro-cars. They are all from nine countries of Europe and America. All of them were placed in the Park, thus, buying the entrance ticket, you can not only see rare old cars, but to be photographed with them.
In addition to the usual cars, the festival was presented as old or renovated military equipment, motorcycles, bicycles.
Cars on the festival is available on themed “streets.” In particular, the organizers of the “Leopolis Grand Prix” distinguished English, Soviet, French, American, German, Italian, Polish, Scandinavian, Japanese retro car. Each of the so-called “streets” thematic music is played, and festival guests are treated to traditional culinary delights of the country concerned.
In addition, the festival organizers have created a special “quarter” of military vehicles.
