The man died instantly.
As told the Chronicle.info in a press-service GU of the National police of Ukraine in Gitarskiy region, the tragedy occurred on the platform at the station “Pechanivka”.
It is known that a freight train knocked down a man while he was walking along a pedestrian crossing over the railway.
Police learned that the man was crossing at a pedestrian crossing a railway track in the direction from the station. But at some point he didn’t notice the freight train “Shepetivka-Kozyatyn”.
62-year-old man died on the spot.
