On the fact of illegal stay of foreign participants of the “Yalta forum” in the Crimea the criminal proceedings.
In particular, these foreign nationals have contributed to the occupation authorities in the development of the tourism sector on the Peninsula, called for the lifting of sanctions and acceptance of the results of an illegal “referendum” on secession of Crimea from Ukraine and its entry into the Russian Federation.
“The Prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is carried out procedural management in criminal proceedings on signs of the criminal offense under part 1 of article 332-1 of the Criminal code of Ukraine “violation of the order of entry in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and exit from it”, – stated in the message.
In addition, the Prosecutor’s office is preparing international orders to the countries whose citizens participated in the “forum” and violated the legislation of Ukraine.
Also the Prosecutor’s office will assess the funds for this “forum”, namely the involvement of private businesses that have partnered with the vote.
Earlier it was reported that participation in the so-called forum on the territory of Russia-occupied Crimea arrived, in particular, businessmen and politicians from Italy, the UK, France, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Austria and Romania (member of European Parliament). In this regard, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed strong protest to the Russian Federation.
As reported, the European Union pointed out that the unlawful conduct in the occupied Crimea the so-called international economic forum, which was held in Yalta on 20-22 April, will not attract foreign investment because of the Crimea and Sevastopol sanctions.
“The restrictive measures in respect of Crimea and Sevastopol are valid, including a ban on investment and a ban on the supply of tourism services. Exports of key products in the Crimea and Sevastopol in certain sectors is also prohibited. These trips to the Crimea and Sevastopol are illegal in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, and the EU has repeatedly expressed its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, – said the representative of the European Commission.
