Kropiwnicki was the first city in Ukraine where introduced smart street lighting.
Regional center Kropiwnicki (former name of Kirovograd) became the first city in Ukraine, where he implemented a smart system of exterior lighting Owlet. The system gives the ability to control lighting separate areas of the city.
Today the city has four streets, which features led lights connected to a single system. This is the street Ushakov, the Garden, the Upper Permian and part of a larger Perspective. In total there are 114 of these lamps.
Manager, who manages their network sees the full picture of each lantern. If the lamp is broken, the data about it it will go directly to the dispatcher. “Now we can remote control each lamp separately, adjust the brightness of the light flux depending on day length, off part points a night,” — said Deputy mayor Alexander Mosin.
This system, according to the city authorities allows to save budget funds. For example, 33 of the lamp on the street in the night, when converting to mode 10% of the nominal power, consuming only 150 watts.
