Putin can go to the implementation of the Minsk agreements after the election.
Russian-American economist, who now lives in Washington, Sergey Aleksashenko believes that the President of Russia Vladimir Putin can go on the implementation of the Minsk agreements after the elections in 2018.
“I think it is quite likely. In my opinion, the current situation with the Donbas creates a serious discomfort for the Russian leadership,” said Aleksashenko.
According to him, the Donbass for Russia – a kind of a suitcase without a handle: a pain to carry and throw a pity.
“One thing is clear: before the presidential elections, Putin will not change anything neither in the one nor in the other direction. This may affect the position of the electorate that Putin does not need. The entire political system in Russia is frozen in the beginning of this year and waiting for March 2018. After that can start some movements,” concluded Aleksashenko.
