The American General said the cause of convergence as pilot error, and intentional behavior of the Russian pilots.
General, U.S. air force Todd Walters spoke about four cases of dangerous approaching aircraft of the Russian armed forces and NATO, which occurred on 10 February.
The General said that three incidents happened with the su-24 and one with Il-38. Walters described the cases of four unrelated. According to him, from the moment of such approaches has not happened.
Walters believes that convergence occur due to pilot error, and as “the expression of his line of conduct”.
The General added that the Agency is trying to obtain information about accidents from the Russian side, but sometimes gets the wrong answer, which is waiting, or not getting it at all. However, over the past six months, such incidents happen less often.
