“Thanks to the abolition of immunity will have more opportunities to enter the Parliament to the people-oriented politics, not business. The immunity for political activities should remain, but if you hit the car or person has committed another offence, no immunity,” – said the head of Parliament.
We will remind, during the annual address in the Verkhovna Rada, President Petro Poroshenko said that the Parliament should adopt amendments to the Constitution providing for the abolition of parliamentary immunity from 1 January 2020.
“I urge, as you might expect to make and lastly to agree changes to the Constitution, which abolish parliamentary immunity. To facilitate your decision, you have the feeling that it is somehow directed at you, I have a very simple proposal: let’s accept this decision with its introduction with effect from 1 January 2020 for the election of the new Verkhovna Rada”, – said Poroshenko.
