“To maintain order and control traffic passengers we are going to the end of 2017 to install surveillance cameras at entrances and exits of all metro stations. System video Analytics with face detection will allow to identify criminals among people who move to this area” – said the Director of the Department of information and communication technologies, head of project “Kyiv Smart City” Yuriy Nazarov..
According to him, depending on the number of inputs / outputs on a separate metro station, will be from 4 to 10 cameras at one station. The project will cost the city budget of 11 million UAH.
Also in Kiev it is planned to fully comprehensive CCTV systems in schools, kindergartens, hospitals, theatres and museums.
“In these objects we can install cameras around the perimeter of the yard and the internal monitoring system. So now the guards of these establishments will see what the situation is happening in the buildings and on the perimeter,” added the Director of the Department.
Modernization of video surveillance system from the city budget allocated 24 million. Work will be completed by the end of this year.
