In the Sumy region, Konotop on the move ignited a passenger tram. About it reports a press-service of the Antimonopoly in the Sumy region.
7 Mar at 16:09 in Service of rescue reported that in Konotop at the crossroads of Svobody street and Welt fire happened in the tram.
“It was established that the fire occurred during the movement of the tram KTM-5 1983 V. Passengers immediately evacuated. The driver turned off the power supply to 10 thousand volts and, together with the conductor started to liquidate the fire with a fire extinguisher. Not left out taxi drivers and other cars that were driving around. The joint efforts of the citizens managed at the initial stage to prevent the fire from spreading to a large area”, – is told in the message of Antimonopoly.
Employees division of the National police yesterday temporarily blocked traffic at the intersection. At 16:17, the fire was localized at 16:22 – eliminated. Just to extinguish were attracted nine personnel and two units of special equipment of the State service of Ukraine for emergency situations.
Victims of the fire there. The fire destroyed power and low voltage wire, junction box, cover damaged engine compartment of the tram. According to preliminary conclusions of experts, acceptable cause of fire – short circuit in the wiring.
