In Russia propose to punish Poland responses for the approval of the demolition of Soviet monuments. This was stated by Russian politicians in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
Thus, the speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko hopes for reciprocal steps from Russia.
“May be, request the foreign Ministry, they are preparing, I know measures appropriate to the situation, so that they informed us about the response,” – said Matvienko.
In turn, the Russian Senator Anton Belyakov proposed to introduce personal sanctions against Polish politicians responsible for the adoption of the relevant law in Poland. He believes that they should be banned entry to Russia.
He recalled that some of the Polish deputies had contacts with Kaliningrad, where they often come.
In turn, the Chairman of the Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky made a proposal to consider an appeal to the international parliamentary organizations in connection with the intention of the Polish side to demolish the monuments to Soviet soldiers. Treatment is planned to be taken in conjunction with the Knesset of Israel.
Recall, 17 July the President of Poland Andrzej Duda signed amendments to the law on prohibition of propaganda of communism. The law provides for the demolition of Soviet monuments in the country and can relate to about 230 monuments.
