“A native of Georgia 42-year-old Gela Kardava, repeatedly convicted of serious charges (burglary, robbery), arrested in Kiev in a special operation conducted by the Metropolitan police with involvement of fighters of special forces of KORD. “Kingpin” was detained in one of capital restaurants together with “associates”, – Avakov wrote.

The Minister noted that Kardava was “crowned” in Moscow in 1996, when he was only 21 years old, which shows their high professional skills.

According to Avakov, the police check the operative information about his involvement in several crimes on the territory of Ukraine and relations with members of organized criminal groups operating on the territory of Ukraine.

“During the arrest the suspect seized, possibly fake, passport of citizen of Ukraine in the name goomba Oleg Romanovich, a native of Simferopol (probably forged based on the complexity of the verification of the information in the databases of the annexed Crimea)”, – Avakov wrote.

The Minister added that from open sources we know that Kardava is one of the organizers of the so-called “commercial coronation” thieves in post-Soviet countries.

Besides, according to Avakov, there is information that he is a staff intelligence officer of the MIA of Russia. Also checked the information about his cooperation with Russian special services.
