In the capital want to penalize hard-core smokers on 17 thousand UAH.
In Kiev, want to repeatedly raise the fines for Smoking in prohibited places. The penalty for individuals will be raised up to 17 thousand UAH for legal entities — up to 20 thousand UAH.
The new fines were discussed at the meeting of the city Council.
The deputies voted to refer to the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers and to make changes to the Code of administrative offences. Thus, repeated efforts responsible for the Smoking of tobacco products and hookahs in the wrong places.
According to the deputies, to influence the restaurant facility, to defy the law, only high fines.
“It is the minimum penalties created by those issues that face the residents of the houses where the dining options, where guests can smoke, including hookahs,” — said the Deputy of Kyiv city Council Alla Shlapak.
The city Council does not believe that penalties are too different from the practice abroad. “For example, if you bind the hryvnia, in Ireland such penalty is 86 thousand hryvnia in Azerbaijan from 10 to 25 thousand hryvnia, in France from 12 to 21 thousand, in Germany — 28 thousand hryvnia,” — said Shlapak.
Recall the list of places where Smoking is prohibited shall be defined by law. The total area of places where Smoking is allowed must not exceed 10 percent of the total area of the building or premises, besides the designated Smoking area must be equipped with ventilation.
