The Hyundai company will conduct demonstration tests of their machines with an automatic control during the Winter Olympics 2018 that will take place in Pyeongchang-gun.
At the moment, Hyundai in cooperation with South Korean authorities engaged in the development of ultra-precise high resolution maps of the surrounding area in which inaccuracies allowed no more than 10 inches.
These cards will help Autonomous vehicles Hyundai to move under difficult weather conditions and large elevation changes. The drones will be able to navigate in space using optical rangefinders LiDAR systems, sensors and cameras.
The first Autonomous cars Hyundai has been presented at the beginning of 2017 at the consumer electronics show CES in Las Vegas. The drones, built on the basis of hybrids Ioniq, cruised in automatic mode according to the Las Vegas Strip.
