Russia insists on granting the region special status.
Russia insists on introduction of the special status of Donbass “formula Steinmeier”, as well as on the early breeding of forces and means of the parties in the Village of Lugansk, told reporters in Minsk, the Russian representative in the contact group on settling the situation in Ukraine, Boris Gryzlov.
“The Russian Federation has consistently insisted on the enactment of the law on the special status of Donbass, according to the formula Steinmeier, speedy dilution of forces and means of the parties in the Village Lugansk,” — said Gryzlov.
“Formula Steinmeier” (the President of Germany, former Chairman of OSCE and former foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier) defines the mechanism of introduction in action of the law on special order of local government in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions on a temporary basis on election day and on an ongoing basis — after the publication of the OSCE report on the election results.
