Google Assistant almost instantly responds to dozens of requests.
Google Assistant historically relied on cloud services to recognize your voice and respond to your queries. But Google says it has succeeded in reducing its model of voice recognition up to 500 MB, which allows it to be stored on the smartphone for processing on the device.
Because it does not require a postback to the cloud, this means that the Google Assistant can recognize and respond to your commands much faster.
At yesterday’s demonstration at the conference Google I/O, the company showed how Google Assistant almost instantly responds to dozens of requests.
Among other things, this means that you can open applications, do a selfie, reply to incoming messages, compose emails, navigate or search for the photos.
The Conversation Continued support will allow to do without the “OK, Google” before each request. For example, if you have already opened Google Assistant to view your calendar, you can just ask him to add a reminder, or to start writing a message.
Some actions will also work even if you are not in the network, for example, including a flashlight or calendar view.
