Debts for heat in Kyiv exceeded four billion

At the end of the heating season, to may 1, 2017 indebtedness of the city of Kiev for heat and hot water amounted to UAH 4.2 billion.

“Debt capital consumers of thermal energy to JSC “Kyivenergo” on may 1 (2017 – ed.) amounted to UAH 4.2 billion. The greatest debts for heat, heating and hot water before “Kyivenergo” have a population and housing-operational organization of the capital of 1.7 billion and 846,7 million respectively”, – stated in the published message.

The greatest “gains” debt for heating has occurred at the enterprises of life-support of the Kiev municipal form of ownership.

Substantial debts for heating and hot water accumulated state budget.

On may 1, 2017, the debt of the organizations financed from the state budget reached UAH 112.5 million. Also the debt of the state budget on payment of privileges and subsidies to “Kyivenergo” has amounted to UAH 1.2 billion.

The heating season 2016/2017 years have shown high rates of increase of debts for heat energy, centralized heating and hot water.

The critical situation with payments for heating and hot water formed in the Desna (221,2 million UAH) and svjatoshynskyi (209,9 million UAH) regions.

In 2015, the level of payment by the population of the heating and hot water amounted to 87% and 89%, respectively, in 2016 – 69% and 86%, respectively.
