The shower went on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

The downpour began on 7 June at 19:00 and went with varying intensity all night. During the first few hours were flooded Central streets of the city – the Russian, Franco, Gagarin and Central square. Motorists left their cars with stalled engines in the middle of the road and rescued from the elements on foot. The movement of public transport has stopped completely. At the entrance to the building of the railway station the water level reached half a meter, the water flooded the waiting room, the rails also disappeared under the torrential streams.
City hall described the situation as a disaster. The mayor has released a video message in which he urged citizens to exercise caution. He also noted that in the 12 hours fell more than 30 mm of rainfall, which is considered a flood.
Forecasters expect rainy weather almost the entire territory of Ukraine in the coming days. On June 8, the meteorologist promises sometimes heavy wind gusts from 15 to 20 meters per second.
