It’s weird, but the prize “Golden globe” — all a strange thing.
It is clear that the film is “Off”, caused a stir in the first half of this year, can be called a Thriller can be called horror, but even a detective with a strong desire to call. That’s just not in the “Golden globe” nominations. Or “Best film (drama)” or “Best film (musical or Comedy)”. To the drama the picture of Jordan Saw decided not to include. Well, the comic elements there really are, they are not determinative, but in the end the “Away” a lot more Comedy than in “the Martian”, for example, and the latter grabbed the “globe” in this category in 2016, as you remember.
Maybe it was a lot easier… That nigga there removed? “Away”? The movie how to steal the radio out of the car and run? In short, again, “don’t be a menace to South Central.” Let’s move on.
But jokes to the side. As reported in his Twitter Christopher Tapley, author of the weekly Variety, the Thriller “Off” could be out of consideration by the Hollywood foreign press Association, so the official recognition of his Comedy at least leaves a chance for the nomination.
The HFPA met today to determine categories. “Get Out” seemed most in danger of being overruled, but while there was disagreement, it’s officially in comedy.

But whether honestly, if a horror film will take the award in this category? A very controversial issue. Hell, the guys from the Association, it’s time to add a couple of new categories. Hopefully, such a picture as “Away” once breaks through that wall of arrogance that stubborn critics to separate themselves and their high movie genres such outsiders as horror.
Anyway, the list of nominees for the “Golden globe 2018” will be announced on December 11.
