The Senator from Alaska concerned about the large events of the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation in the Arctic and urged Washington and its allies to strengthen the US military presence in the state. It is reported by UNN.
According to the publication, the Senator from Alaska Dan Sullivan has called on Washington to strengthen the US military presence in the Northern regions of this state.
According to him, Russia, the boundary of which is 100 km from the coast of Alaska, is making “significant military forces”, Moscow dramatically increases its military forces in the Arctic.
The Senator also said that in April this year there have been five provocative incidents with the Russian four-engined bombers.
“As for Russia, it is necessary to demonstrate solidarity with her, but strength, too,” he said.
According to Dan Sullivan, in these circumstances, the United States should place in Alaska more troops, and new icebreakers.

According to him, 15 other Russian icebreakers are now under construction. In this regard, Mr. Sullivan approached the allies with a call to the resolve and military cooperation.
