The American secret service can crack even encrypted traffic
The organization WikiLeaks on Tuesday, March 7, beginning a series of leaks of confidential information of the CIA under the name of Vault 7.
The first part, entitled Year Zero, contains more than 8.7 million documents and files center kiberrazvedki CIA located in Langley (Virginia).
This archive contains data about the hacker capabilities of intelligence agencies in the period from 2013 to 2016, which WikiLeaks received from one of the former employees of agencies of the United States.
According to WikiLeaks, by the end of 2016, hacking the CIA had more than five thousand people. Part of the operations is developed and implemented on the basis of the intelligence Agency in Langley, but the CIA has another secret hacking centre, which serves the U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt am main. Says WikiLeaks attacks CIA is exploiting so-called zero-day vulnerabilities – vulnerabilities and malware, against which not yet developed protective mechanisms. Thanks to this intelligence Agency can hack into iOS, Android and Windows, as well as Samsung TVs, turning them into listening devices. The CIA can configure virus-infected smartphones to automatically send to the server the security services geo-location data, recordings of conversations and text messages, as well as the right time to activate the camera and microphone device.
In addition, the technical capabilities allow hackers to the CIA to intercept messages sent to such secure instant messengers like WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Wiebo, Confide and Cloackman before they are encrypted.
According to 2014 CIA also tried to find a way to hack the control system installed on passenger cars and trucks.
