The Ukrainian company is planning to sign an important contract with Mastercard.
State post operator “Ukrpochta” has completed the process of obtaining accreditation from Mastercard. It is reported that at the moment we are getting the “Ukrposhta” status of the acquirer. Postal operator will soon get a license from the National Bank, which will allow you to “Ukrposhta” to carry out operations with Bank cards.
According to the source, the query “Ukrposhta” for the acquisition of membership in the Mastercard payment system was approved on 4 July this year. Between the postal operator and the payment system is already signed licensing agreement, and at the moment we are in the process of technical integration. After a few days, when the “Ukrposhta” will receive the status of an acquirer, the postal operator will announce a tender for the purchase of 5 thousand of POS-terminals in the amount of 30-35 million. This amount may be reduced in the course of trading ProZorro.
It is also reported that the installation of own network of terminals will be more profitable for “Ukrposhta” from an economic point of view, since the operator does not have to pay a Commission for a financial transaction to the partner banks, but to recoup the cost of purchasing your own equipment will work only after a year.
It is worth noting that the fall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider a bill that will significantly expand the list of financial services “Ukrposhta”. In particular, the postal operator will be able to open personal accounts for individuals and legal entities to be credited to their pensions, wages and social assistance.
