The President of the United States officially pulled the boat into the water.
In the US, has commissioned the largest and most expensive aircraft carrier in the world – Gerald R. Ford.
The launching ceremony of the aircraft carrier on the water, visited the US President Donald trump, who blessed the ship and all who will serve.
“I enter into operation an aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford. God bless this ship and all who serve it,” said trump.
Note that the ceremony was broadcast on the White house page in Facebook.
The aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford began to build in 2009. Its construction has cost almost 13 billion dollars.
Now built just one ship, however, plans to build 10 ships. The carrier has a length of 337 meters, width of 78 meters and a height of 76 meters.
The ship will serve 2500-2700 crew, of about 2480 people group and about 70 people staff.
