This turn of events in the DPRK obviously did not expect.
The President of the United States Donald trump for a year extended sanctions against North Korea.
This was reported by press service of the White house.
We are talking about the preservation of the restrictive measures that were introduced in 2008. In 2010, 2011, 2015 and 2016, the sanctions were extended and expanded.
The duration of the sanctions was to expire on 26 June 2017, however, trump has decided to extend them for another year.
The White house noted that the actions and policies of the DPRK government, including its pursuit of nuclear and missile programs, destabilizie the Korean Peninsula, and jeopardizes the U.S. armed forces and allies.
In addition, the provocative, destabilizing and repressive actions of North Korea continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States.
