RQ-4A Global Hawk made the hours-long flight along the demarcation line.
The strategic unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) USAF RQ-4A Global Hawk with the call sign UAVGH000 Sunday made the hours-long reconnaissance mission along the demarcation line in Donbas, Interfax reports citing Western sites that track flights of military aircraft.
During the flight, the distant drone for hours cruised from North to South along the line of demarcation of Ukraine with the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR”, but did not cross it. The scout flew at a height of 16.7 thousand meters.
Taking into account the possibilities of reconnaissance to a depth of 300 km drone RQ-4A Global Hawk was able to observe the whole territory of the self-proclaimed DND and LNR, as well as the border regions of Russia.
According to open sources, the unit can patrol for 30 hours, being at a height of 15-18 meters.
Far American drone took off from Sigonella airbase in Sicily. He entered the air space of Ukraine on the Nikolaev area and headed in the direction of Mariupol. After the assignment in the Donbass he went out of Ukrainian airspace to the North of Moldova.
