Ukrainian military claim that the separatists are trying to discredit the Ukrainian leadership.
Ukraine is complying with the UN Convention in the field of arms control, therefore, the information of the representatives of certain districts of Luhansk region (ORLO) that APU keep the slides in Stanichno-Lugansk the area of toxic substances, is not true.
According to the Ukrainian side of the Joint center for control and coordination of the demarcation line in the Donbas (SCCC) on the page of the press center of staff ATO in Facebook, April 17, on the website “Luhansk information center” published a material with the statement of the representative “national militia ORLO” Andrew Morocco called “APU keep the slides in Stanichno-Lugansk the area of toxic substances”.
“Information contained in this information material, does not correspond to reality, as the leadership of the state on 13 January 1993 had signed the Convention on the prohibition of the development, production, stockpiling, use of chemical weapons and on their destruction”, – is spoken in the message.
In SCCC recalled that this international Treaty in the UN in the field of arms control, aims for the total ban on the production and use of chemical weapons, considering its harmfulness to the environment and human health, and defines the obligations of States parties in this area.
It is noted that Ukraine, unlike Russia and its supporters in the face of leadership of the illegal armed groups ARDLE, these commitments are fully implemented, the obligations under the Convention on the prohibition of the use, stockpiling, production and transfer of anti-personnel mines and on their destruction, which aims to end the use of landmines, as one of the means of armed struggle.
The Ukrainian side also stressed that the way the IAF ORDO trying to discredit the Ukrainian leadership in the matter of violations of international law.
