In the investigation of the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, investigators questioned more than 1.8 thousand people and gained access to information 19 thousand subscribers of different mobile operators. This was announced by the Director of the Department of communication of the Ministry of internal Affairs Artem Shevchenko, reports the website of the Ministry of interior.
“The Prosecutor’s office decided that the case should be investigated as a homicide. Key version – murder from-for professional activity of the Russian citizen and journalist Pavel Sheremet, who worked in Ukraine, Russia, and even before that in Belarus,” the statement says Shevchenko.
In his opinion, the murder of journalist was organized, professional criminals who thoroughly planned it all. Now it is impossible to publish more details or to disclose the achievements of the investigators, as this may damage the case.
“We had a large number of investigative actions, but the result, unlike journalists, can not show the results, demonstrating progress, as this just requires the public. The investigation could not disclose all the information, all the videos from surveillance cameras – to be able to solve this crime”, – added Shevchenko.
He stressed that the police intentionally closed the face of the woman who planted the explosives, to be able to solve the crime.
The national police continued the investigation, investigative actions are carried out. Now, investigators interrogated more than 1,800 people have at their disposal more than 150 terabytes of information from surveillance cameras, and also received access to information 19 thousand subscribers of different mobile operators.
The interior Ministry also asked the journalists to share with the investigation, if they have any information.
