The garbage is proposed to export to polygons in the Lviv region.
The Cabinet of Ministers in cooperation with Lviv regional state administration and local authorities of the region found a solution to the problem of utilization of solid domestic waste generated on the territory of Lviv, the press service of the government.
Lviv has almost a year as continuing problems with the garbage disposal. Since the fire was a closed city dump, Lviv with great difficulty garbage to other landfills. Today, every fourth yard in Lviv littered with debris.
“In particular, the garbage from the city will be removed and disposed of at landfills in other cities of Lviv region while the Lviv city Council will make the final decision on the system of the method further disposal of solid waste generated in the city”, – stated in the message.
Agreement to receive waste from the city landfills in the region will be enshrined in the Memorandum of cooperation between Lviv regional state administration, Lviv regional Council, Lviv city Council and the local authorities on whose territory is located landfills or landfill disposal of solid waste.
The document will be signed on Friday, April 21, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister-Minister Vladimir Kistion Chairman of the Lviv regional state administration, Chairman of the Lviv regional Council and the Chairpersons of city councils of area.
