Some elements of this monument are subject to the law on decommunization.
In the Pechersk district of Kiev can dismantle a sculpture of two workers, which is an element of the composition of the Arch of friendship of peoples. This is the opinion of the head of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory Vladimir Vyatrovich.
“According to the Law on decommunization must be dismantled sculpture of two men holding a hammer and sickle,” – said vyatrovich.
He added that two other elements of the sculpture does not fall under the Law on decommunization.
“The Ukrainian Institute of national memory sent a letter to the head of Kyiv with a list of monuments and memorials that are to be dismantled. In the list of peoples ‘friendship Arch and the sculpture of Pereyaslav was not mentioned”, – he added.
