The Russian booster proton-M with the American communication satellite Еchostar-21 launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome. This launch was the first after a year break.
“The launch took place at the estimated time without any problems. The separation of the upper stage” breeze-M “with the satellite Еchostar-21 is scheduled for 6.55 GMT, spacecraft separation from the” Roshinka “is expected at 15.58 GMT,” – said the source.
Later it became known that the upper stage successfully separated from the rocket in the estimated time.
As previously reported, the launches of the proton were suspended in 2016, when the orbit of the satellite Intelsat-31 suddenly appeared abnormal operation of the second stage: its engine shut down prematurely.
