The exercises will last until September 20.
Thursday, September 14, in Belarus will start large-scale military exercises involving Russia, the West-2017.
It is planned that the exercise will involve up to 13 thousand soldiers. The maneuvers will continue until September 20.
Ukraine will be sent to Belarus two verifiers to observe the Russian-Belarusian military exercises Zapad-2017.
We will remind, Minister of defence Stepan Poltorak said that the General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine has put several measures in place in case of a possible invasion of the Russian Federation during the exercise Zapad-2017 in Belarus.
Previously commander of NATO forces in Europe, General Ben Hodges said that Russia can leave and military equipment on the territory of Belarus after the exercise Zapad-2017.
Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov did not rule out that the exercise Zapad-2017 may be preparing for offensive operations.
In this regard, Ukraine and Poland have developed an action plan in case of emergency situations.
