Poland wants to withdraw from the IMF tranche in the amount of 9.2 billion dollars because of “good economic health”. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki in Twiiter.
“We went from a credit line in the amount of 9.2 billion U.S. dollars. The economy in Poland is in such good condition that we can do,” said Morawiecki.
According to Reuters, this decision affected the profits of the national budget of some $ 4.9 billion zlotys ($1.36 billion) from January to August. As well as the pace of economic growth, which, according to the Agency, for the period amounted to nearly 4%.
“I made the decision to refuse the IMF loan after the analysis of macroeconomic parameters, tax data, assessment of our fiscal stability and foreign exchange reserves,” wrote the Minister.
It is unknown whether Poland to break off or suspend the agreement with the IMF on a flexible credit line.
Earlier, the IMF said that the good times experienced by the world economy, mask long-term risks, in particular the total debt burden of G20 countries in the $ 135 trillion.
